Jack Berry (1918-1980) Papers 1940-1980

The Jack Berry Papers fill eighteen legal size boxes. They consist of small amounts of biographical materials, correspondence, and reports along with larger bodies of research files and publications. At Northwestern Berry served as the director of the Program of Oriental and African Languages. In 1970 and 1971 he held visiting professorships at the University of Ghana and the University of the West Indies.
